Directions for the Mannix NGD100 Combustible Gas Detector
Remove battery cover and insert two "AA" alkaline batteries. Press and hold the power button. The on/off indicator will come on and the gas indicator may flash and beep once.
Place the sensor a few inches away from the potential leak. When checking a gas pipe, slowly move the sensor along the pipe, joints or fittings. If gas is detected, the unit will beep, and the gas indicator will come on.
Caution - Do not drop the NGD100. The gas detector is a delicate instrument which is very sensitive to impact. If the unit receives an excessive shock from impact it may be damaged. The NGD100 should not come into contact with water. If the instrument will not be used for long periods of time it is recommended that the batteries be removed. Replace batteries with fresh ones when the on/off indicator becomes dim.
