Metal locating equipment makes it easy to locate electrical wiring, plumbing and gas pipes – Eliminating the need to tear open walls and floors unnecessarily to find the location. 

With a Cable Locator you can also trace circuits, detect open and short circuits, find outlets and junction boxes covered by plaster, identify a circuit breaker, and locate blockages in plastic pipes.

The Transmitter and Receiver Communication Combo make it safe to break through any wall or floor by revealing and locating hidden infrastructure up to 6-1/2 ft. (2m) behind.

Wire, Cable, and Pipe Finder Features:

• Transmitter and receiver communicate on any of eight channels and display readings on a big, bright, multi-function graphic LCD screen.
• Units includes a flashlight (for illuminating dark areas) and an alarm to indicate object has been located that can be muted.
• Makes it easy to identify the breaker associated with an energized or de-energized AC outlet.
• Transmitter can operate as an AC/DC Voltmeter with a range of 12 to 600V
• Transmitter has three power levels; receiver has variable sensitivity
• Receiver’s display can be backlit
• Compatible with one or two pole circuits
• Second transmitter is available to make locating short-circuits and cable leaks more accurate
• Used with a metal rod, system can locate blockages and constrictions in plastic pipes
• Transmitter is powered by one 9V battery; receiver by six “AAA” batteries
