Get an instant reading of either Watts or Amps that are being used by your household devices and appliances with Reliance Controls AmWatt Plug-In Appliance Load Tester. Determine the wattage rating you’ll need from a generator in a power outage. You can plug the AmWatt into any 120-Volt live outlet, then plug your appliance into the AmWatt. You can read watts (up to 1875) or amps (up to 15) on the LCD display. The illuminated LED lights reveal the correctness of the outlet wiring. You can also push the GFCI trip button to test the function of the outlet or the GFCI circuit breaker. Tests any standard 120-Volt outlet, 3-wire and GFCI outlets and standard outlets that are wired in series with other GFCI outlets. Comes with a 40” cord for the more remote outlets that are hard to reach.
