Zircon MT7 MetalliScanner - Metal Scanner Detector Locator

The Zircon MetalliScanner® MT 7 metal detector quickly and easily locates rebar, pipes, and other metal before you saw or drill.

The bright, backlit display indicates metal target depth (inches and centimeters) up to 6 in. deep, type of metal located (ferrous or non-ferrous), and whether you are moving towards or away from a target.

Use to find and avoid rebar in concrete before drilling, to find pipes and junction boxes behind tile, and even detect the nails/tacks in studs behind lath and plaster walls.

The Zircon MetalliScanner 7 is a powerful tool that saves time and money by eliminating guesswork, rework, needless holes, and costly broken drill bits or saw blades.

Recommended uses include locating and reinforcing rebar in masonry and measuring subsurface nail spacing in roofing material for compliance with building codes.

Zircon MetalliSacanner 7 Features:

  • Two scanning modes; Standard mode and DeepScan mode

Is the system can detect 1/4" Stainless Steel axe through plastic and liquids ?

    04/14/2022, 09:26 AM

It can detect ferrous metals up to 3 inches deep so plastic would not be an issue. Liquids would not work because you have to have contact on a solid surface to be able to scan.

If I have a ceramic tile and half inch wall board can it go threw and find the wall stud?

    12/27/2021, 08:25 AM

Yes it can but this is a metal scanner so you would have to find the nail or screw to locate the stud.

What are the improvements if any over the MT6

    02/04/2019, 08:35 AM

Functionally they are the same. On the MT7 they added a port you can attach a pole to for using it on high walls or ceilings. The MT6 will no longer be available soon too.
