The TRFM260 Formaldehyde and TVOC Meter can simultaneously display real-time measurements of Formaldehyde and Total Volatile Organic Compounds ( VOC ) concentrations in the air.
Potential sources for TVOCs include paints, finishes, adhesives, cigarette smoke, pesticides, personal care products, car exhaust, new furnishings, wall coverings, household cleansers, and cooking fuels.
Chemicals include: Acetone, Ethylene Glycol, Formaldehyde, Xylene, 1,3‐butadiene, Tetrachloroethene, Hydrogen Sulfide, Ammonia, Toluene, Benzene, Methylene Chloride, Perchloroethylene, and MTBE.

Have calibration certification?
08/10/2022, 10:16 AMThe FM260 measures HCHO (formaldehyde) and TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds). The unit comes calibrated and does not require re-calibration since it uses the Fuel Cell Formaldehyde Sensor Technology it should last for years and years and within its stated accuracy of ±5% FS (Full Scale of Range).
If you wanted to periodically check to make sure the unit is accurate yourself, you would invest in some formaldehyde reference calibration gases. The range of this meter is 0.00 to 5.00 mg/m³ (or PPM) so you would want to find a gas in this range and then you’d have to set up some sort of chamber or stable temp, humidity, and pressure environment. The less expensive option may be to find a calibration lab that offers this type of service and see if they can verify it and provide you with a NIST certificate.

The other way is the old comparison method and like you said buying (2) meters of the same brand is key. Different meters use different technologies and the accuracies may vary in many ways. So stick with ours I would say. This meter has proven to be a great meter at the price and quality goes.
