    does this 16 oz. bottle of red dye have a shelf life. could it be used to color pond water. is it highly concentrated does a little go a long way. could it last 1-2 months in a pond with no water exchange.

    If the dye is left on a shelf with sunlight, it will slowly fade.
    Yes it could be used to color the pond. Safe to plant or animal.
    Will cover about 50K of water to a slight pink color.
    The dye will break down over the 1-2 months in a pond. Ultraviolet will cause the dye to fade.
