The Tool Experts Shower Pan Test Plug (SPTP) is the latest and greatest way to prep a shower to check for shower pan leaks. With the simple design you can fill a shower pan and not have to worry about flooding a bathroom.

Here's How The Shower Stopper Works:

  1. Set the Shower Stopper on the drain in an empty shower.
  2. Turn on the water and let it fill.
  3. When the water reaches the top of the shower pan test plug the water simply drains like normal maintaining 2-1/8" of water.

    How do you seal drain dam to drain? I expect to find irregular drain surfaces.

    It seals on most surfaces but on irregular surfaces it will slow down the flow enough to pond in the area. The weight of the water and the fact that it is made of a rubber material help with irregular surfaces.
