If I am running my house with my 8750 generator via a 30am twist lock connection; will this device tell me how much amp my generating is using if I plug the device into one of the 120v outlet on the generator?
07/15/2021, 09:43 AMNo, this device is designed to tell the load of an appliance plugged into it. I am assuming you are wondering what amperage your generator is putting out. That would require a circuit analyzer and we have the CT70 for this. But you asked for "how much amp my generating is using". Since you are using a generator I assume you don't have power feeding the generator. If the generator does have an electric power source, I am not sure what you could use to measure what the generator is using.

What is the accuracy of Reliance Controls AmWatt appliance load tester?
Secondly, what happens to the device if it draws more than 15 amps or more than 1875 watts? thanks,12/23/2019, 11:20 AMThe amperage accuracy is +/-5% above 1 amp. Wattage accuracy based on amps x 120V. When maxed out the tester will only show the maximum amount so if you get a max reading the actual amps or watts could be higher.
